We’ve been working behind the scenes to bring a little of what our OPP families receive each month into your classrooms, clubs, and homes! 🎨💛

Our characters and animations are created in-house by Oliver Patch Project and shared with our Warriors each month. Now, we’re building free lessons around those same stories so more kids can learn, create, and connect.

This month’s character trait is courage, and our Unlikely Pair Parade lesson includes:

✏️ Design a Parade Float... differentiated worksheets for K–1, 2–3, and 4–5, with drawing space and sentence stems to help students identify different strengths and how they contribute to a community.

✂️ Build a Parade Float... a hands-on art project that brings students’ ideas to life in 3D.

🖍️ A coloring sheet featuring our OPP characters, who come to life in the accompanying animation!

We’ve also included national standards alignments for Common Core English Language Arts and the National Core Arts Standards for visual arts, along with connections to CASEL’s social-emotional learning competencies.

Whether you’re teaching a class, leading an art club or community group, or creating with your kids at home... these resources are for you. And they’re 100% free!

A little extra love for every hospital hallway. ✨

At Oliver Patch Project, we give personalized patch jackets and totes to kids battling cancer. Each patch is a reminder that there are people cheering them on.

We’re a team of artists who believe in collaboration and using creativity to care for others. Our jackets and totes are the canvas… and the patches bring a whole community together.

Some designs come from student artists through our Great American Patch-Off, where judges choose winning artwork to become real patches. Others are created by professional artists who share their talent to encourage our kids. Sponsors help make patches possible, too, with some designs representing the people and organizations supporting them.

Through our Warrior-to-Warrior program, first responders, military service members, and veterans connect with our OPP warriors, adding another meaningful connection to that community of support.

Behind these patches are kids, artists, sponsors, and people who serve… all coming together to remind a child, “We’re here. We’re cheering for you.”

And when we see this little guy walking through the hospital in his jacket, we see more than the hospital hallway. We see all the people whose love and encouragement get to go with him. 💛

In the middle of a cancer journey, milestones mean progress, a turning point, a challenge overcome.

That's why every OPP family receives a box of 13 Medical Milestone patches, each one featuring one of the strongest and bravest animals around. 🦁🐻🦅

Every animal represents a major milestone a child will reach on their journey, and parents get to hand over each patch as their warrior crushes that moment.

One brave animal at a time, their jacket or tote becomes a wearable reminder of just how far they've come! 💪✨
