We started with toys everywhere… and somehow ended up with scarves flying through the air. 😂🎶

Just another READy, Set, Go morning. 💛

Open play turned into music, movement and storytime, with little ones learning while having absolutely no idea they’re learning. And honestly? That’s our favorite kind.

Scarves up! 🙌

Consider this your gold star. ⭐

For showing up, getting on the floor, letting them make the mess and doing it all again tomorrow. 💛

What gets a gold star at your house?

08/10/2026

Everything had a place when we started… 😂
Then the kids arrived and understood the assignment.

At READy, Set, Go Miami, the mess is part of the fun. 💛 Kids and caregiver get to explore, create, move, play and learn through hands-on activities.

So when the room looks a little different at the end? We call that a good morning. ☀️

READy, Set, Go Miami events are FREE for families at participating Miami-Dade libraries.

📌 Save this and follow for upcoming dates and locations.

Be honest, parents… how ready are we? 😂

🎒 Supplies bought
😴 Bedtime fixed
🍎 Lunches planned
🫠 Absolutely none of the above

Send this to the parent who is also pretending we have plenty of time.

Does putting the phone away turn into a negotiation every single day? 📱

If “Just five more minutes…” has become one of the most common phrases in your house, you’re definitely not the only one.

Screen time isn’t only about how many hours kids spend on a device. Sometimes the biggest signs show up in everyday moments. Bedtime takes longer. Family conversations become shorter. Activities they once loved are replaced by another scroll or another video.

Technology is part of everyday life, and that’s okay. The goal isn’t to get rid of screens. It’s to help our kids build healthy habits and create a better balance between life online and life at home.

That’s exactly what today’s Let’s Talk Tech workshop from The Children’s Trust Parent Club is all about. You’ll learn practical strategies you can start using at home right away, without feeling overwhelmed or guilty.

Miami parents…

Which one of these has happened in your house TODAY? 😂

A house full of toys.

A pool.

A pantry full of snacks.

And somehow…

“I’m bored.”

If you’re parenting this summer, chances are you’ve heard at least one of these:

☀️ Snacks five minutes after breakfast.

🍦 Popsicles at every meal.

🏊 Living in a swimsuit all day.

📺 “One more episode…”

😅 “I’m bored.”

Some days are chaotic.

Some days are hilarious.

Most days are both.

👇 Which slide called out your child?

Comment the slide number—we’re curious which one wins. 😂

💾 Save this for the next time you hear, “I’m bored.”

📤 And send it to the parent who absolutely needs this laugh today.

One day, your child won’t remember everything you did.
They’ll remember how you made them feel. ❤️

The moments our kids remember usually aren’t the big ones.

A bedtime story.

A dance party in the kitchen.

Laughing until your stomach hurts.

Stopping what you’re doing just to listen.

Those little moments add up.

They help children feel safe.

They build trust.

They remind kids they’re loved.

Summer doesn’t have to be packed with expensive trips or perfectly planned activities. Sometimes the memories that last the longest happen right at home.

💬 What’s one small moment your family loves?

Share it in the comments. You might give another Miami family a new tradition to try.

💛 Big feelings are a big part of growing up, and every emotion is an opportunity to learn.

From sharing toys and making friends to managing frustration and expressing excitement, children are developing important social and emotional skills every day. As parents and caregivers, we play a key role in helping them recognize emotions, build healthy relationships, and learn how to communicate with confidence.

Here are two ways you can support your child’s emotional development:
💙 Talk about feelings using everyday moments.
🤝 Model kindness, empathy, and positive communication.

Remember, strong relationships begin with connection, patience, and open conversations. Every small interaction helps build the foundation for your child’s confidence, resilience, and future success.

💬 How do you help your child talk about their feelings? Share your favorite tip in the comments. Your idea might help another family!
