It’s Member Monday!🌸🌸 This week we’re spotlighting Interfaith Sanctuary Shelter Home , the only low-barrier shelter in Idaho’s Treasure Valley, serving families with children, unhoused seniors, veterans, and LGBTQIA+ neighbors.
Founded in 2005, Interfaith Sanctuary just opened a new 42,500-square-foot Shelter Home after 20 years serving guests out of a 10,000-square-foot warehouse, bringing private family suites, on-site medical care, and their first full kitchen. A $1 million matching challenge from the Tomlinson Family Foundation is now funding a new Family Shelter Building.

It’s Member Monday! 🌸🌸 This week we’re spotlighting Marguerite’s Place , the only organization in New Hampshire combining transitional housing, licensed childcare, and supportive group programming for families under one roof.
Founded in 1994 by Sister Sharon Walsh and Sister Elaine Fahey, Marguerite’s Place is celebrating 30 years of service. Since founding, they’ve walked alongside more than 800 families and provided 295,650 safe nights of housing, and in 2024 alone, 100% of mothers in the program were employed or enrolled in school within 90 days! A massive thank you to our philanthropic partner Mattress Firm for making this possible. With over 1,000 mattresses donated to NWSN member shelters across the country, their commitment to ensuring women, children, youth, and families experiencing homelessness have a safe, dignified place to sleep is truly unmatched. Time and time again, Mattress Firm shows up our community in the most meaningful way, and the impact of this generosity is felt in every single shelter we work with. This is what transformative partnership looks like, and we are endlessly grateful for it. 🙏🌸

We are so happy to share that we have completed our 7th Safe Sleep Makeover of the year at in Detroit, Michigan!🌸🏠
Since 1987, Alternatives for Girls has been a lifeline for girls and young women experiencing homelessness, helping them stay safe, grow strong, and make positive choices for their lives. We were honored to go in and transform their space delivering: 23 mattresses, full linen sets, comforters, pillows, leave-behind bags, and a teddy bear for each bed, plus a deep clean of the facility and brand new furniture for the dining room, therapy room, and common area.
None of this would have been possible without our incredible philanthropic partne@mattressfirm . Your generosity and commitment to supporting people experiencing homelessness continues to change lives, thank you!! We are so grateful for all the transformative work you’ve made possible. 🙏
