An event was held with members of the Azerbaijani community in the DMV area in Washington, D.C., with the participation of the Alliance of Azerbaijani-American Organizations (AAAO), Chairman of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora, Mr. Fuad Muradov, and representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the United States. The event also featured several presentations by Azerbaijani youth, highlighting their initiatives and contributions to the community. Two medals were also presented in recognition of outstanding contributions.

Members of the Alliance of Azerbaijani-American Organizations (AAAO) and the delegation of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora of the Republic of Azerbaijan participated in a private tour of the U.S. Library of Congress.

Following the tour, we gathered in a conference room, where our special guest, Mujgan Nazarova, who works at the Library of Congress, gave a presentation about the institution and its collections.

The delegation also donated numerous books showcasing Azerbaijan’s history, literature, culture, and heritage to the Library of Congress.

It was a great honor to share a piece of our rich heritage and contribute to making Azerbaijani history and culture more accessible to the world.
