Camp Erin South Florida

Camp Erin South Florida Catholic Hospice also cares for the whole person with special programs like Pet Peace of Mind and spiritual support for those of all faith traditions.

At Camp Erin, grieving children learn that they are not alone, that their feelings are normal. They have a safe environment to express themselves with other children going through a similar experience. Grief professionals and trained volunteers lead age appropriate groups through clinical grief activities such as remembrance ceremonies, sharing circles, art therapy, music, creative writing, drama and other physical activities.

They need understanding, support, and safe spaces to heal.

Camp Erin South Florida is here to provide that.

✨ Our Family Bereavement Camp will be held on June 20 in Davie, FL, and applications are open through May 29. Go online now to apply: www.camperinsouthflorida.org.

As we continue to honor this month as Mental Health Awareness Month, we are reminded that no one should have to carry grief or pain alone. One of the most meaningful parts of Camp Erin is the connection--the friendships, support, and sense of community that remind our youth campers and families that they are not alone in what they are experiencing.

We are also grateful for the support we receive from our local community, like Steve Fortunado and his amazing team who has create spaces where people feel supported, understood, and connected. The work they do to build community and prioritize mental health truly makes a difference. THANK YOU! 💚

Music has a way of bringing people together, and last week, our Camp Erin South Florida community experienced that beautifully. 💙🎶

Bereavement Camp Coordinator, Edmound Davis, was joined by some of our Camp Erin volunteers and their families for an unforgettable evening that uplifted hearts and fostered healing during Mental Health Awareness Month. We’re grateful to Bernie Williams, Jonathan Tetelman, and Friends, along with the Artemis Rising Foundation, for sharing this wonderful opportunity with our community.

These moments of connection remind us of the strength found in community as our Camp Erin South Florida team looks ahead to our next camp session on June 20! Visit our website for more information: www.camperinsouthflorida.org or contact our team at (954) 944-2709 | [email protected].

Grief doesn’t follow a timeline, and for kids, it doesn’t always look the way we expect.

It can show up as silence, anger, laughter, or even play.

At Camp Erin South Florida, we make space for all of it 💙 Because every child deserves to grieve in their own way.

Do you have a youth (ages 6-17) who is grieving a significant person in their life? Camp Erin South Florida is hosting a Family Bereavement Camp on Saturday, June 20, 2026 in Davie, FL. May is Mental Health Awareness Month 💚

At Camp Erin South Florida, we support children and teens navigating grief after the loss of a loved one. Grief can feel isolating, but no child should go through it alone.

Through connection, storytelling, and shared experiences, our campers find a space where they are seen, heard, and supported.

You are not alone. 💙

Today, we pause to celebrate the incredible volunteers who make Camp Erin South Florida such a special place 💙

Your compassion, patience, and willingness to show up—year after year—create a safe space where grieving children and teens can feel seen, heard, and supported. Whether you’re leading activities, offering a listening ear, or simply sitting beside a camper who needs comfort, your presence makes a lasting difference. Because of you, campers find connection, healing, and even moments of joy in the midst of their grief. That impact cannot be overstated.

Thank you for giving your time, your energy, and your hearts to this mission. Camp Erin South Florida would not be what it is without you.
