Hope for Autism Team The Hope for Autism Community Team was founded in 1999 by our team captain, Marianela Alvarez.

A mother with the courage and vision to not accept a diagnosis of autism without making the commitment to help move forward her 2 year old son, Gabriel P. Alvarez

She become not only the voice of her own child, but the voice of many other children with autism and others disabilities in her community. The Hope for Autism team has become a large family itself of children with autism and their corre

sponding family members and friends with the main purpose of educating parents, advocating for the children's rights and creating activities oriented to include our special children into society.

After a beautiful event like our Hope for Autism Supercon 2026, it is important to take a moment to thank the incredible sponsors who so generously donate their services to help make these special moments possible for our special needs community.
A heartfelt thank you to the one and only DJ Carlos, who keeps everyone on their feet and dancing all night long. To our dear professional photographer, Lourdes Coronel, who always captures the joy, excitement, and precious smiles of our families through her beautiful photographs. To the Miami Lakes Special Needs Advisory Board, for generously providing the delicious food that our families enjoy so much.
