We had the honor of hosting Valery Numa, a renowned journalist, entrepreneur, and author, as part of the Man Dodo 2026 Symposium.

Last Sunday, following the two-day Man Dodo 2026 Symposium, the Man Dodo team had the privilege of participating in a deeply meaningful event: the handover of several homes to families who were victims of the 2021 earthquake in the country's southern region.

For these families, receiving a home means more than just having a place to live; it signifies gaining security, dignity, and hope after enduring years of difficult and uncomfortable living conditions. We are delighted to bring a ray of light and joy into these families' lives and to contribute, in our own way, to improving their living conditions.

These achievements would not have been possible without the support of our donors and partners—including The Bridge Church, Ben & Laurel Wooley, whose contribution made one of these homes a reality.

For the first day of the Man Dodo 2026 Symposium, we were delighted to welcome Pastor and Dr. Farah Jovial Alexis as our keynote speaker.

In a speech filled with inspiration and reflection, she encouraged participants to work on their self-confidence, recognize their own worth, and believe in their ability to make a difference.

She placed great emphasis on the importance of collaboration, love, and mutual respect, as well as the need for each individual to commit to the development of their community.

For the second day of the Man Dodo 2026 Symposium, we had the honor of placing Professional Development at the heart of the discussion.

For this panel, we welcomed three professionals bringing experience and expertise from various fields:

• Dr. Guerda Nicolas, PhD
• Dr. Robert Léger, MD, CEO of 7020
• Mr. Benjamin Altema, Director General of RMI

The discussion was moderated by Maxon Michel, Project Manager, Social Worker, and Director of CFAC-HUB.

Drawing on their experiences, the panelists shared insights and advice on how young people can prepare for the job market, develop their skills, make sound career choices, and build a professional profile that creates opportunities.

We had the honor of welcoming Marc Alain Boucicault as the keynote speaker for the second day of the Man Dodo 2026 Symposium.

In a speech filled with inspiration and reflection, he invited participants to remember a fundamental value: above all else, we are human.

He encouraged young people to learn to love and respect one another, and to recognize the worth of those around them, regardless of our differences.

He also placed great emphasis on collaboration and the importance of keeping our word. To him, trust is a cornerstone of any strong relationship; when we say something, we must do our utmost to honor our commitments.

It was a message reminding us that leadership is not defined solely by what we know or what we achieve, but also by how we treat others and how we build relationships based on respect and trust.

For the second day of the Man Dodo 2026 Symposium, we were pleased to host a panel on Personal Development.

John Lorfils, Assistant City Manager of North Miami, and attorney Vanessa Joseph shared their experiences with participants, highlighting the importance of working on ourselves, developing our skills, and preparing for the opportunities that lie ahead.

The panel, moderated by Dr. Anthonika Titus, helped young people understand a crucial point: personal development is not a destination, but an ongoing process requiring discipline, self-awareness, and a desire for continuous growth.

After all, to bring about change in our community and society, we must first invest in ourselves. Work on yourself today so you can become the person you want to be tomorrow.
