School may be back in session, but we’re still soaking up all the memories from an incredible summer with our CAW campers! 🥳

Our Family Fun Day was the perfect way to celebrate a summer filled with learning, laughter, new experiences, and community. From our campers and families to our staff and supporters, it truly took a village to make this summer one to remember.

And even though the school bells are ringing again, CAW is still in our summer era! ☀️😎 We have plenty of memories left to share, so stay tuned as we continue looking back at some of our favorite moments from Summer Camp 2026.

🧪🚀 Inspiring the Next Generation of Innovators 🚀🧪

Our middle school campers had the incredible opportunity to connect virtually with Nafees Innovations, Philadelphia's first biopharmaceutical and bioprocessing STEM education program, for an inspiring conversation about science, perseverance, and purpose.

Students learned how STEM extends far beyond the classroom through real-world applications in medicine, engineering, and biotechnology. They also heard a powerful personal story about overcoming obstacles, earning scholarships, and refusing to let others define their future.

One message especially resonated with our campers: when people told him he wasn't cut out for science, graduate school, or success, his response was simple: "𝗕𝗲𝘁." Instead of accepting limitations, he let determination, hard work, and faith speak for him.

Another lesson our students won't soon forget:

"𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘁."

🔬 Inspiring the Next Generation of Scientists: Environmental Scientist Jordon King Visits CAW 💜

CAW was excited to welcome Jordon King, an environmental scientist, to our Summer Camp! 🦎☀️🌱

Jordon brings Everglades (Everglades National Park) research to life by making science fun, interactive, and easy for students to understand. Through engaging discussions and hands-on learning, our campers explored South Florida's unique ecosystems, learned about local wildlife and environmental conservation, and discovered exciting career opportunities in STEM.🪾👨🏾‍🔬

His mission is to inspire the next generation of scientists, researchers, and environmental leaders by encouraging curiosity, critical thinking, and a deeper appreciation for the natural world. 🌎💚

Thank you, Jordon, for sharing your knowledge and passion with our campers and for showing them that science can be both exciting and impactful!

As part of our Parenting Program, CAW proudly partners with COPE Center North. 🤝💜

C.O.P.E.’s mission extends far beyond the classroom, supporting both students and their children by providing the tools, resources, and encouragement needed to become confident, productive citizens.

Join us in celebrating this special time of year and take a moment to hear from one of our very own, Ms. Oxidine, as she serves as a commencement speaker at C.O.P.E. Center North. 🎓

Ms. Oxidine was not only a guest speaker for CAW’s Parenting Program at C.O.P.E., but she is also a proud graduate of the C.O.P.E. program herself. Her journey is a powerful testament to the impact of education, perseverance, and community support. Through her words of encouragement, wisdom, and inspiration, she reminds graduates that their journey is just beginning and that success is built through purpose, determination, and resilience. 💛
