Newsflash!
On Thursday, February 5, 2026, the National Black Nurses Association (NBNA) hosted its 38th Annual Black Nurses Day on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC, with a purposeful and bold legislative agenda focused on advancing health equity through policy.

The Miami Chapter of the National Black Nurses Association was proudly represented by members who demonstrated passion, pride, and a strong commitment to advocacy. Our nurses were energized and ready to engage directly with lawmakers, including Congresswoman Frederica Wilson, to advocate for policies that support our patients, strengthen our communities, and advance the nursing profession.

This powerful moment reflects how Black nurses continue to lead, advocate, and shape health policy at the highest levels of government. Our presence on Capitol Hill is a testament to our collective voice and our unwavering dedication to improving health outcomes for the communities we serve.

Thank you to our Miami Chapter – BNA members for championing change and standing at the forefront of health equity and justice.
