Rather than hosting a standalone NEPM event, we will kick off our relationship with the Sylvester Institute by participating in the Miami Dolphins Cancer Challenge XVI (DCC) on Saturday, February 28, 2026.

The DCC is a major Miami-based walk/run and cycling event that benefits the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Miami. What drew us to DCC is simple and powerful: 100% of all funds raised go directly to cancer research and patient care.

We will be forming an NEPM Foundation team as part of Team Hurricanes, and we would love to invite you to participate in whatever way works best for you—either by joining us in person on event day or by supporting our team through a contribution.

If you would like to participate in person, you can choose from:
• Bike (13-mile, 39-mile, 54-mile, or 99-mile routes)
• 5K Walk/Run
• Virtual participation (from anywhere)

Registration is complimentary as part of Team Hurricanes using promo code WECANXVI, and each participant receives a personalized fundraising page, along with Team Hurricanes gear and incentives.

Last night, Jeff and Sydney attended an event honoring Dr. Phil Stieg, Nancy’s main neurosurgeon. Congrats to Dr. Stieg on 25 years at Weill Cornell—we thank you for always going the extra mile for your patients!

Thank you to everyone who came to our Annual Golf Outing last week! It was so lovely to eat dinner, play golf, fundraiser, and connect over our shared love for Nancy ❤️ We hope you all enjoyed the event as much as we did

With the holiday season upon us, we reflect on the NEPM Foundation’s journey—a year shaped by growth, gratitude, and the shared mission of making a difference.
On this Giving Tuesday, we invite you to join us in reflecting on the power of generosity and its impact. Your support continues to fuel our misson and honor Nancy’s legacy in ways that truly matter. It’s a privilege to share our progress with you and express heartfelt thanks for your continued support.

This year, we proudly partnered with Family Reach to provide meaningful assistance to families navigating the challenges of brain cancer. Together, we’ve supported 85 families—offering everything from essential financial help to funding for clinical trials for 10 families. We are also exploring partnerships to assist with unreimbursed prescription drug costs, a small but critical area where your generosity has already made a real impact.

While our work is still growing, we are confident that these efforts align with Nancy’s vision of helping those in need. As the foundation’s capacity expands, we hope to broaden our impact—both in supporting patients and families and in identifying promising research initiatives. To date, we’ve focused on immediate needs rather than grants for research, believing this is where we can make the most tangible difference right now. Donate by clicking on our bio to donate.
