The Book Club meets 9/24 (Thursday) from 2 to 4 p.m. 📚

We'll also be hosting a Halloween String Art event for kids 6 years old (or older) on Friday (9/25) from 4 to 5 p.m. See attached flyer for details. Make sure you register by 9/23! 🎃

And our library will be open Wednesday (9/23), Thursday, (9/24), and Saturday (9/26) from 1 to 4 p.m.

High Country Friends Book Group PARTY🎉 Hello Readers!

Just a reminder that we will celebrate the 24th anniversary of the book group on Thursday, the 24th of September (next week), 2 p.m.! Hope to see you at the Mi-Wuk Library. Bring a guest reader! 📣This week at the Community Center:

We have no special or regularly scheduled events this week. Our Library will be open Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. and we just got some new books in.

Thank you to all of you who came out for our Annual Meeting. We hope you found the information valuable. If you are interested in volunteering for an event, at the library, and/or joining our Board, please send an email to [email protected] and let us know your interest. We'll make sure you get connected with the right person.

We also wanted to remind you that our Book Club meets on 9/24. They will be discussing Discussion of Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir and Other Birds by Sarah Addison Allen. Stop by the library and pick up copies of the books so you're ready for our next meeting.

And, don't forget to sign up your kiddos for our Kid Club String Art event!

Kids Club Halloween Crafting! 🎃

Get ready for some spooky, creative fun! Kids ages 6+ are invited to our Halloween String Art Workshop on Friday, September 25, from 4–5 p.m. at the Arlen C Richardson Community Center. Choose from three fun designs: Skeleton Head, Pumpkin, or “Boo”!

Fall is just around the corner and wouldn't it be nice to have a new Craftsman battery operated Blower? Kelley Smith will be raffling off the Blower as a door prize at our Annual Meeting. Mark your calendars for this Saturday (9/12) at 10 a.m. and mark sure you get your ticket when you arrive! FYI...we'll have coffee brewing at 9:30 a.m. Please join us!

This Week at the Community Center

Don't forget our Annual Meeting is this coming Saturday (9/12) at 10:00 a.m. In addition to our normal items (financial report, etc.), we'll have two guest speakers; Kelley Smith will be discussing Cal Fair Plan and rising homeowners premiums and Bill Schneiderman will be discussing FireWise, Home Hardening, and Evacuation Plans. We will also be sharing the results from the recent community survey. We'll have fresh coffee ready by 9;30 so come on by and meet your neighbors before the meeting starts.

Also, our knitting group meets this Wednesday from 1 to 3 p.m.

And, our library is open this week it's normal hours; Wednesday 1 to 4, Thursday 1 to 4 and Saturday 1 to 4. Come see our newest selection of books we've added to our library.

Please join us for the MAHA Annual Meeting on 9/12 at the Arlen C. Richardson Community Center. We'll have coffee available at 9:30 a.m. and our meeting starts at 10 a.m. We have two guest speakers. While we don't have any special events at the Community Center this week, here's a reminder that the Library is open Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 1 to 4 p.m. And we have some "new to us books". 📚

This Coming Week at the Community Center

Don't forget. Tuesday (8/25) is our final Perk Up Tuesdays from 7 to 10 a.m. at the community center. We've enjoyed having many of you pop in for a cup of coffee and conversation over the last two months, and it's been great getting to know more people in our community. We hope you'll join us for our final one!

And, our Book Club meets Thursday (8/27) at 2 p.m. You've still got a week to swing by the library to pick up copies of the books and read them so come join us.
A big thank you to everyone who came out for our rock painting event. While we weren't able to get pics of all the painted rocks, here are a few. We had such a great time getting creative together. A special thank you to Christine for facilitating the session and generously donating all the materials! We appreciate you!
