COME TO EAT ON JANUARY 20, 2019.
11:00 am -1:00 pm

The Meyersdale Volunteer Firemen will be cooking another delicious meal to benefit Caring Hands for Cancer. This organization helps cancer patients from Meyersdale and Salisbury area with financial help.
Cost per meal is $10.00 with payment at the door and can be either take-out or eat at the fire hall.

Please come support this local cause. All proceeds go to help local cancer patients.

Congratulations go out to; Stoystown Smackdown for winning the 2016 Caring Hands for Cancer, Volley for Life Sand Volleyball Classic held at the Meyersdale Playground! They have won the Meyersdale tournament two years in a row and have the honor of being the only team to win on the Meyersdale courts. They had a tough and attractive opponent in the championship game, but nevertheless pulled out the victory by a slim margin! Great win! Thanks to all the teams who helped make the tournament a success by raising money to help those dealing with cancer! Your donations will reach farther than you can imagine.

Congratulations to team, Stoystown Smackdown, for being the 2015 Caring Hands for Cancer, Volley for Life Sand Volleyball Classic, Champions!! This year’s event was the inaugural tournament at the new Meyersdale Sand Volleyball Courts. Thank You to everyone who participated!!

On a cool day in the month of September a volleyball tournament, hosting challengers from all across the land, came to life. As most teams fought off the mystery of a new location and the elements of chili wind and rain, none could withstand the force known as Stoystown Smackdown. Whether it was the undefeated round-robin record or the superb hair styles, they encountered only a small speed bump on their way to victory. Some wonder if the legend of the Stoystown Smackdown victory is true, while others swear they experienced it with their own eyes! We may never know…

Caring Hands for Cancer is having a Bingo and Basket Chinese Auction on Sunday, Feb. 22nd at the Elks. Early Bird games begin at 1:00 PM with regular games starting at 2:00. There will be 14 regular games with $50 payouts and a Jackpot Game of $200. Cost is $10 for 3 cards. Refreshments can be purchased. Congratulations are in order for Team Donaldson!! The 2014 Caring Hands for Cancer Volley for Life Sand Volleyball Classic Champions!! Through the rain only one team could remain, Their Name is Team Donaldson, Their Name is Team Donaldson. They ended up facing the #1 seed in the 3-game championship series and after a hard fought battle, came out victorious!! Thank You to everyone who made this year possible. Thank you for helping to raise money that goes directly to numerous local families that have been burdened with diagnosis of cancer. Congratulations to team; Ball Slappers!! for winning the 2013 Volley for Life Sand Volleyball Classic. After earning the #1 seed and a 1st round bye while playing a grueling 12 game round-robin schedule, they cruised through the 2nd round of the playoffs and dominated in the championship.
