OMG Fun Run Registration Update

We’ve had an incredible response to this year’s OMG Fun Run and a large number of last-minute registrations! As a result, participants who register on the day of the event will not receive an event t-shirt. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.

Day-of registration will still be available:
- Adults: $20
- Children (12 and under): $10

For those who registered in advance, shirt sizes will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis based on registration order.

Thank you for supporting the Meyers Community Foundation and helping make the 10th Annual OMG Fun Run another great community event. We can’t wait to see everyone at Old Meyers Grade on Sunday!

The Meyers Community Foundation would like to thank everyone who came out to enjoy our annual Meyers Holiday Tree Lighting.
It was a wonderful evening—filled with glowing lights, smiling faces, and that special Meyers community spirit.

We’d also like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to our partners who helped make the night memorable: CALSTAR Air Medical Services, the California Conservation Corps Volunteers, Lake Valley Fire Protection District, Sierra-at-Tahoe, Pop, Crunch & Munch Kettle Corn, Alpen Sierra Coffee Company, California Highway Patrol, El Dorado County Sheriff and Search and Rescue, Martin Bush, Dylan Thomas, Misty McBride, and the Meyers Elementary School Choir. We couldn’t have done it without you.

Hey Meyers Community!! The annual tree lighting is on! Event starts at 5 pm tonight. Santa arrives about 5:30. Get here on time so you don’t miss him dropping in! We’ll have coco & popcorn,the Meyers Elementary choir, the Lake Valley Fire Truck lit up, and photos with Santa. 🎅🏼 we can’t wait to see you all here.🎄🌲❄️

Is there a monster in your neighborhood? A monster tree, that is.

Kicking off TRPA’s , this map reveals where Tahoe’s largest trees live. Each point represents a tree with a trunk over 36 inches in diameter. The larger the circle, the wider the tree. Zoomed out as shown, we can see where the biggest groupings of large trees are located.

Across the Tahoe Basin, more than 84,000 trees have estimated trunk diameters greater than 36 inches, showing where old-growth giants remain and new ones are emerging.
