Truth

We are going to drop a truth bomb on you guys...

We are bombarded daily with requests from all over Texas from individuals and organizations alike begging us to come to their area. We appreciate the fan base, but it is not feasible for one dr to do that. We just can't be everywhere!

And everyone who reaches out to us thinks their situation is worse than anyone else's...but here's the truth bomb...it's the entire state of Texas. It's all overwhelmed with unwanted puppies, kittens, dogs, and cats. ALL. OF. IT.
Most of the southern states as well.

Educate. Your friends, your neighbors, your family on the pros of spay/neuter.
Advocate. Step up not out.
Feeding a stray? Make sure it's spayed/neutered. If you can feed it, you can/should spay or neuter it.
Write to your congressman and ask what they are doing about this problem? It will take ALL OF US to get our voices heard in Austin.
We are definitely doing our part...we spayed and neutered over 88,000 animals in the last 5 years at affordable rates or with vouchers.
We are on track to spay/neuter over 20,000 animals in 2026 alone!

HOT-PAWS desperately needs funds to cover vet bills! We are trying to offset vet costs with our mini raffle fundraisers.. We still have chances for all three of our mini raffles left! We would like to sell these out and draw the winners! We are only selling 50 chances for the two $100 gift cards and 30 chances for the $50 gift card.

Chances are only $10 each and the money goes to help dogs in need of care, such as Quay who had an ear infection and Lola a senior black lab with Osteomyelitis (an infection in the bones in her foot). We also had other dogs seen, such as CeCe who came to us with a severe skin infection (Making progress) or Rory who came in with blisters on the bottoms of her feet, making it painful for her to walk (now healed!). Please help us care for our dogs!

Hot-Paws has had some requests to make donations to HOT-PAWS in memory of Dana Busby, long term Board member who passed away unexpectedly last week. I will post our donation links for anyone interested in making a memorial donation to HOT-PAWS to honor Dana's life. HOT-PAWS Board Members and volunteers are also going to donate in his honor. Dana served on our Board since our inception in 2019. He will be missed.

Please note if your donation is in memory of Dana and we will send a card to his family to notify them of your kindness.
