Garden Club of Metuchen - Page The Garden Club of Metuchen (GCM) is a community organization welcoming gardeners of all levels

The club’s activities are opportunities to participate, socialize, learn, lead, teach, inspire, plan and be creative. There are:
+ Monthly Meetings with guest speakers
+ Projects to create and manage gardens that range from bouquet-size to substantial plots

Monthly Meeting Time and Location:
The Garden Club of Metuchen usually meets on the first Monday of each month from September through June

at:
7:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Fryer Hall at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church
17 Oak Avenue (at Route 27, Middlesex Avenue), Metuchen

There are no meetings in July or August.

Member Garden Tour

Hello fellow gardeners!

We have planned a garden tour and picnic of GCM Member gardens on June 13th, 2026 from 10am-1 pm. Three members have generously offered to show their gardens.
Touring the gardens of our fellow GCM members is the perfect opportunity to share ideas, gain inspiration, and celebrate the incredible hard work everyone has put into their outdoor spaces.
*Bring a brown bag lunch, light desserts and cold beverages will be served by the host at the final garden stop.( #3)

PLANT SALE RESCHEDULED TO THIS SUNDAY, MAY 17th!

Due to the rain, we unfortunately had to cancel last Saturday’s Mother’s Day Plant Sale.

We are happy to announce that the sale has been rescheduled for this coming Sunday, May 17th, at Cai’s from 9am - 12pm

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and truly appreciate your understanding and support.

Applications Open for the John R. Watt Scholarship

The Garden Club of Metuchen is offering a $1,000 scholarship to a graduating high school senior from Metuchen who intends to pursue studies in environmental science, horticulture, agriculture, landscape architecture or related fields. Interested students, send an email to [email protected] to receive an application describing your academic plans, and past experiences and studies related to these interests. Deadline is May 22.

Past winners have studied: environmental engineering, chemical engineering (with a focus on environmental chemistry), landscape architecture, and environmental science. We welcome applicants who understand the importance of protecting our environment, addressing climate change, supporting pollinators, strengthening community engagement in care for its natural environment, and strengthening education related to these issues.
