💜 Overdose Awareness Day – August 31, 2026 💜

Every life lost to addiction mattered. Every story deserves to be remembered.

On Monday, August 31, 2026, at Noon, MVPASAP will host a special LIVE Overdose Awareness Day Broadcast from Methuen Community Studios. During the program, we will honor and remember those who have lost their lives to addiction by speaking each person's name aloud and sharing their photo in tribute.

Today, MVPASAP would like to take a moment of silence to honor and remember the great Phil Lahey — the man, the legend, the founder of MVPASAP.

Phil was more than a leader. He was a voice for the voiceless, a light for families lost in darkness, and a man who dedicated his life to bringing awareness, education, hope, and healing to those impacted by substance use disorder. Through his compassion, advocacy, and the creation of Circle of Hope, Phil reminded countless families that they were never alone.

His mission was never about recognition — it was about saving lives, supporting families, and creating a community where recovery and hope could flourish. The impact he made throughout the Merrimack Valley and beyond will never be forgotten.

Today, on his birthday, we ask everyone to pause for a moment of silence in remembrance of all the good Phil brought into this world and into our community.

Personally, Phil is a big part of why I continue this work today. I made a promise to him — to keep this mission going, to continue spreading awareness, compassion, education, and hope for as long as I am able.
Legends never truly leave us. Their work lives on through the lives they touched and the people they inspired.

Happy Heavenly Birthday, Phil.
Your legacy lives on every single day through MVPASAP and the countless lives forever changed because of you. ❤️
