Agent Orange Awareness Month is observed in August, with Agent Orange Awareness Day specifically recognized on August 10. According to the Blinded Veterans Association, August 10 honors the bravery and sacrifices of those affected by the chemical, marking the day in 1961 when Agent Orange was first used in Vietnam ! The Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund also observes August 10 as Agent Orange Awareness Day, with events such as placing thousands of orange candles at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial ? Some advocacy groups extend the observance through the month or even October to foster education, support, and accountability 3. In Wyoming, August is officially designated as Agent Orange Health Awareness Month, with the governor issuing a proclamation each year to encourage observance and health screenings 4.

Join the American Legion Riders Post 4 on Sunday, August 23rd for our Fisher House Boston Fundraiser Ride!

Enjoy a scenic motorcycle ride through Southern New Hampshire while helping support Fisher House Boston, an incredible organization that provides comfort and support to military families during medical treatment.

After the ride, head back to American Legion Post 4 for a cookout featuring:
