🚓💗 Methuen Police Joins the Pink Patch Project – 4th Year Strong! 💗🚓
This October, as we observe Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Pink Patch Project gives our department a meaningful way to show solidarity with those affected by breast cancer.
By wearing the pink patch and raising funds for Dana-Farber, we join a nationwide movement dedicated to early detection, education, and research, turning awareness into action and hope into tangible support for patients and their families.
All proceeds from this year's fundraising will support Dana Farber Cancer Institute. Since 2022, the Police Department has raised $13,772 for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, a world leader in compassionate care and groundbreaking cancer research dedicated to treating and curing cancer for patients of all ages.
This year’s effort is especially meaningful as two of our own officers are both courageously fighting breast cancer under Dana-Farber’s care.
“This year, the Pink Patch Project holds an especially personal meaning for me. On April 1, 2025, I was diagnosed with breast cancer, and I’ve experienced firsthand the strength, hope, and healing that organizations like Dana-Farber provide. Wearing the pink patch is more than raising awareness, it’s a symbol of support for everyone touched by this disease and a reminder that none of us fights alone.” — Officer Gina Scanlon
"Being diagnosed with breast cancer on June 19th, 2025, was a moment that changed my life forever. Throughout my journey, I have found strength in my family, friends, and this community. With the incredible care I’m receiving at Dana-Farber, I know I’m not walking this path alone. The Pink Patch Project reminds me every day that together, we are stronger than cancer." — Officer Tracey Noonan
