Join us for a meaningful evening at our LGBTQ+ Seder. Together we’ll explore the Passover story through an LGBTQ+ themed Haggadah, creating space for reflection, connection, and celebration.

A traditional Passover meal will be provided by Rommel’s Catering. Come gather around the table and share this special experience.

Did you know that the Jewish Federation helps Jewish newcomers find their place in our city?

Born out of the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, the JWELCOME program offers exclusive discounts at local synagogues, schools, and even restaurants to help new people connect with the New Orleans Jewish community.

And it's not just for people who've recently moved to the area! JWELCOME is also for anybody who has:

👉 returned after time away
👉 converted to Judaism
👉 Jewish graduate students & post-docs
👉 become a Jewish professional
👉 recently discovered their Jewish roots
👉 even married a Jewish spouse!

As we kick off our next Rekindle cohort tonight, we’re reflecting on the incredible conversations and connections from our last year's Winter Cohort — a group of leaders who showed what’s possible when communities come together with open hearts and shared purpose.

We can’t wait to welcome our new fellows to continue building bridges, deepening understanding, and creating lasting change.

💡Did you know that New Orleans has a sister city in Israel? It's Rosh HaAyin, a city of about 78,000 people nestled in center of Israel, just east of Tel Aviv.

Through the Jewish Agency's Partnership2Gether initiative, New Orleans and Rosh Ha'Ayin have been linked for years, sharing friendship, cultural exchange, and creative collaborations.

Who we are

Since 1913, we’ve been the umbrella for all things Jewish New Orleans. We fundraise for social services that impacts both our wider New Orleans community and help those across the globe, and we advocate for social justice.

We envision a Jewish community where there’s a seat at the table for everyone. We invite you to join us.
