NOTICE:

The State Plumbing Board of Louisiana is providing this notice as a courtesy reminder to Master Plumbers who also hold a Plumbing license issued by the Louisiana State Licensing Board for Contractors (LSLBC).

Pursuant to La. R.S. 37:2150 et seq., the issuance and maintenance of a Plumbing license with the LSLBC is contingent upon holding an active Master Plumber license issued by the State Plumbing Board of Louisiana.

The Louisiana State Licensing Board for Contractors has advised that a records review of Plumbing licenses is forthcoming. Any Plumbing license found without a current 2026 Master Plumber license on file may be subject to suspension by that agency.

What You Should Do

If you hold a Plumbing license with the LSLBC:

Ensure your 2026 Master Plumber license is active with the State Plumbing Board of Louisiana, and
Confirm that a copy of your 2026 Master Plumber license is on file with the LSLBC.
The LSLBC has indicated that licenses may be submitted directly to:
