Congratulations to Sarintha Buras Stricklin, Ph.D. on her 7th work anniversary with Jefferson Ready Start Network!

For seven years, Dr. Stricklin has been a passionate advocate for young children, families, and early childhood educators across Jefferson Parish. Her leadership, vision, and commitment have helped strengthen opportunities for children to enter school ready to learn and thrive.

At the Jefferson Community Foundation, we are proud to support Jefferson Ready Start Network (JRSN) as one of our signature programs. We are grateful for Dr. Stricklin’s leadership and dedication to building strong partnerships, expanding access to high-quality early care and education, and ensuring Jefferson Parish’s youngest learners remain at the heart of this important work!

Yesterday welcomed its latest - and largest class ever! - cohort of Jefferson Community Youth Leadership Scholars with a meet and greet event, hosted by . JCYL is the Foundation's leadership program for high school students residing in Jefferson Parish, and we were thrilled to meet this extraordinary group of young people.

Over the coming school year, JCYL participants will gain exposure to a wide range of industries, topics, and careers right here at home in JP, and we cannot wait to hear more about what they learn.
