Troop 117 is incredibly proud to celebrate our newest Eagle Scout Emma!

Earning the rank of Eagle Scout is no small accomplishment. It takes dedication, leadership, perseverance, service, and a whole lot of hard work.

We’ve watched this Scout grow, lead, serve others, overcome challenges, and continue to push toward this incredible achievement. Today, we celebrate not only the rank earned, but the leader they have become along the way.

🍽️ Service Above Self 🇺🇸

Tonight, our Scouts from Troop 117 had the opportunity to serve meals alongside the Scouts of Troop 269 at the American Legion.

Scouting is about more than camping and earning badges—it’s about giving back to the community, working as a team, and living the Scout Oath and Law every day. We are proud of these Scouts for volunteering their time with smiles on their faces and a willingness to help others.

A huge thank you to the American Legion for welcoming our Scouts and allowing them to be part of serving our community. We appreciate your continued support of Scouting!

🏕️ Home sweet home!

After an incredible week at summer camp, Troop 117 is back home with tired feet, dirty laundry, and hearts full of memories.

This week was filled with new adventures, merit badges, challenges conquered, friendships strengthened, campfire laughs, and countless moments that reminded us what Scouting is all about. We watched our Scouts step outside their comfort zones, support one another, show leadership, and grow in confidence every single day.

A huge thank you to our dedicated adult leaders, volunteers, and families who made this amazing week possible. Your support allows our Scouts to experience opportunities they’ll remember for a lifetime. Thank you Camp Buck Toms for such a fun week!

🏕️ Halfway Through Summer Camp! 🏕️

We’re officially halfway through an amazing week at summer camp, and what a week it’s been!

So far our Scouts have:
🔥 Tried new things
🏹 Learned new skills
😂 Made unforgettable memories
🤝 Worked together as a team
🌟 Stepped outside their comfort zones

There are tired feet, dirty uniforms, plenty of laughs, and stories we’ll be talking about for a long time. And the best part? We’re not done yet!

Here’s to finishing the week strong, earning those merit badges, making even more memories, and soaking up every minute of the adventure.

🇺🇸 Liberty in Action! 🇺🇸

This week, Troop 117 took part in the Liberty in Action 250th Anniversary Challenge, learning about our nation’s history, the principles of citizenship, and what it means to make a positive impact in our communities.

Through teamwork, discussion, and completing the challenge requirements, our Scouts earned the new Liberty in Action 250th Anniversary Challenge Emblem!

As America prepares to celebrate its 250th anniversary, we’re proud to see our Scouts honoring the past while committing to service and leadership for the future.

Congratulations to everyone who completed the challenge and proudly earned this special emblem!

Tonight, Troop 117 put their skills and creativity to work as they planned and practiced games for summer camp! From teamwork challenges to fun competitions, our Scouts are helping create activities that will keep everyone engaged, laughing, and building friendships all week long.

One of the best parts of Scouting is that the Scouts lead the way, and tonight was a great example of that in action!
