What a fantastic weekend in the great outdoors!

We just wrapped up an incredible camping trip filled with skill-building, campfire stories, and—most importantly—growth.

The highlight of our weekend was Pack 117 Crossover Ceremony. We are beyond thrilled to officially welcome our two newest Scouts into the Troop 117 family!

It was an honor to watch these young scouts take their first steps across the bridge from Cub Scouting into the adventure of Scouting America. We can’t wait to see the trails you’ll blaze and the skills you’ll master.

Troop 117 is incredibly proud to celebrate Adrienne Roth, one of our leaders and Assistant Scoutmaster, on being selected as the 2027 Wood Badge Course Director for Southeast Louisiana Council!

Adrienne’s passion for training, leadership, and motivating others truly shines through everything she does in Scouting. We are so grateful to have her as part of Troop 117 and know she will do an amazing job leading this course.

Meet your Course Director for the 2027 course: Adrienne Roth

Adrienne attended Wood Badge on the 2020 course, affectionately known as the “course that never ended” because weekend 2 was delayed a full year due to the COVID Pandemic. Adrienne is a member of the Owl patrol. She has served on the last 4 Wood Badge courses as a Troop Guide (‘22), Assistant Senior Patrol Leader (‘23), Senior Patrol Leader (‘24), and a Scribe and Back Up Course Director (‘25).

Adrienne has been a volunteer with the Scouting America program for over 12 years and is currently serving on the Executive Council Board as the Vice-President for Program and an Assistant Scoutmaster with Troop 117. Her passion is training and motivating others to achieve their goals! Serving as Wood Badge Course Director is a perfect fit!
