An amazing story!

Joselyn, age 9, after hearing about our community shoe drive at Buckner Lubbock, decided to host a lemonade stand to raise money for shoes — raising $41. Her older brother, Jude, in seeing her efforts, decided to match her donation. Together with their younger sister, Juliet, they brought their donations via their mom. Our Buckner Lubbock team were able to show them the shoes that have come in the building and share some of our Buckner programs. After hearing about our Foster Care program and how we help children, Jude asked for his donation to go to the Foster Care & Adoption program.

Thank you, Joselyn, Jude, and Juliet for your loving hearts and for giving back to the community in such a meaningful way!

During the 2025–2026 period, we distributed over 2,143 pairs of shoes with Buckner Guatemala — because each pair represents much more than material aid: it signifies hope, dignity, and a new opportunity to move forward.

Buckner Longview held a School Supply Train distribution where 1,800+ kids were able to receive a new pair of shoes along with school supplies, uniforms, and items needed to start the year off strong. Happy back-to-school to everyone!1

Ice cream sundae celebrations with the residents at Buckner Westminster Place in Longview, TX as they concluded their shoe drive. Together, the community donated 77 pairs of shoes to the year’s drive and school supply train event!

Buckner Lubbock has collected over 1,000 pairs of shoes in their community shoe drive so far!
