Working to protect Gold Butte for years to come. https://www.friendsofgoldbutte.org

Gold Butte is 360,000 acres of rugged mountains, Joshua tree and Mojave yucca forests, outcroppings of sandstone, and braided washes that turn into slot canyons. Located between the Grand Canyon Parashant National Monument, Arizona, and Lake Mead National Recreation Area, it is just south of the City of Mesquite.

🚨URGENT: Protecting the Western Arctic is Protecting ALL Public Lands!

Interior Secretary Doug Burgum and the Bureau of Land Management is heeding an oil and gas industry request to GUT environmental review for oil and gas development across the landscape. Instead of evaluating each development project's impact on wildlife, Indigenous communities, and the ecosystem, this new industry request would rubber-stamp approvals in as little as 60 DAYS.

The question raised by this proposal is bigger than any single road, pipeline, or drill pad: Is unregulated industrial oil and gas development more important than the serious consequences to the people who depend on those lands and waters?

Take a minute now to comment on the Bureau of Land Management’s proposal to rubber-stamp oil and gas leasing in the Western Arctic. This isn’t just about Alaska, this is an enormous public land giveaway and part of a coordinated strategy to SELL OFF America’s lands and water at the expense of Indigenous communities, everyday Americans, and our planet. https://www.conservationlands.org/westernarctic

The Bureau of Land Management needs to hear from you TODAY before November 9. 📣

Let's work together to protect public lands for everyone to enjoy. Act now! 📬📝
