Rising Sun District- Scouts BSA Circle Ten Council (founded in 1913)
Rising Sun District This is an area in east Dallas county in Texas.

Rising Sun District, formerly Eastern Skies District and Cimarron District, is a part of Circle Ten Council and is composed of Cub Scout Packs, Boy Scout Troops, and Venturing Crews from the Mesquite and Sunnyvale areas in the Dallas suburbs. While our area is mostly suburbs, parts of it comprise urban inner city as well as rural countryside. Our leaders embrace this diversity and we are proud of

it. Our Scouts are well known in the community for their spirited efforts in the Scouting for Food drive. Our community depends on this effort to help the needy in our area. The leadership of Rising Sun District is committed to providing rewarding activities to the Scouts. They support the annual fishing derby, Cub Scout fun day, district pinewood derby, Twilight Camp, Camporee, Webelos Woods, and more. Training for leadership is provided to all levels, from Tiger den leaders to Scoutmasters.
