As some of you are aware, Arden Tewksbury has had a very rough couple of years health-wise. After several hospitalizations and a brain procedure, he has settled into a long-term rehabilitation center
called Riverstreet Manor in Wilkes-Barre. He was recently recognized by the Wyoming County Examiner Newspaper as being the longest serving
living volunteer school board member in the United States at 64 years of service. His work as manager of the Progressive Agriculture Organization allowed him to be of service for his fellow dairy farmers. In Washington DC we were walking outside of the Senate Offices and Senator Robert Casey, Jr. stopped us when he recognized
Arden. In the beginning of our 15 years together, Arden and I slept in his car at the Union Station parking garage when in Washington DC
lobbying for dairy farmers.
I find it fascinating that Arden was a leader of the dairy contingent at the very first Farm Aid Concert in 1985. Formerly the President of Eastern Milk Producers Dairy Cooperative of Syracuse, New York, he
still insists on drinking whole milk every day. Preferably chocolate!

Whole milk as a choice for children in school Bill passes in the House of Representatives today!!!!

For too long milk has been unfairly demonized. Today the U.S. House overwhelmingly passed Whole Milk For Healthy Kids! I look forward to restoring access to these nutritious beverages in schools across the country. 🐮🥛
