Today, we came together to honor National Crime Victims' Week through a powerful collaboration between tribal and state partners.

In partnership with Otero Lincoln SANE, the 12th Judicial District Attorney's Office, and the Mescalero Responsible Gaming Program, we hosted a community event focused on support, awareness, and healing.

Victim/Survivors of crime who visited our booths were invited to place a rose on a lattice, each one symbolizing their strength, resilience, and spirit.

Advocates were present throughout the event, offering support, resources, and a safe space for connection.

A special thank you to Mescalero Emergency Operations for generously donating water.

Our team is grateful for the strong collaboration that made today possible and look forward to continuing this important work together. Most importantly, thank you to our community members who stopped by, shared, and engaged with us, it truly made today meaningful.

November is Strangulation Awareness Month.

Strangulation is a serious form of abuse that can be life-threatening. If you or someone you know is experiencing this, East Mountain is here to help.

Strangulation is violence. It has no place in our community.

We offer support, advocacy, and resources to protect and empower our community.

Together, we can raise awareness and keep each other safe. You are not alone. We are here to help.

Ixe'hé, Mescalero 💜

Wow — what an amazing turnout for our Domestic Violence Program Open House! We were truly overwhelmed (in the best way) by the love and support. We engaged, educated, illuminated, and shared a meal and resources together.

Domestic violence continues to deeply impact Native communities, and it’s so important that we keep creating safe spaces to learn, talk, and heal together.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, listened, asked questions, and showed support for the work we do to stand with survivors. We are stronger together — and together, we can keep breaking cycles and building safer futures. 💜
