For some of the children and families we serve, an empty pantry is a very real worry. đź’™

ASA Now’s food pantry helps ensure families impacted by foster care have access to the everyday essentials they need—because no family should have to choose between groceries and other basic necessities.

Right now, our shelves need some extra love. Donations of pantry staples like granola bars, crackers, bread, jelly, canned chicken, applesauce, salsa, and other family-friendly foods can make an immediate difference.

Every bag, box, and can adds up. Together, we can help families feel supported, cared for, and a little less alone. đź’š

This past Friday a group of boys from a local group home came in to let a youth in foster care pick up his birthday request. He was so excited to be able to pick out his gifts and yes, even 14 year old boys love a good stuffy. The center has such a peaceful and calming feeling after all the hard work of getting everything set up over the summer. The boys asked if they could come back everyday. Giving children and youth a safe space is such a blessing. Feeling safe, supported, and having a trusted community to walk along side of them helps heal and create hope even in dark days. Thank you to our donors, volunteers, and supporters who continue to show up and create these magical moments.

This past Thursday we served 43 families during our monthly food distribution. Food distribution is just one of the monthly programs ASA Now offers to help meet and fill the gaps for homes with youth impacted by foster care and youth who have aged of foster care.
