Unlock the Secrets of Soil for Thriving Roses and learn about Garden Safety
Join us for an enlightening presentation by Sheri McLane, president and agronomist at IAS Laboratories; she is an expert in soil nutrient testing for agriculture and horticulture across the region. With a deep passion for healthy soil and flourishing gardens, Sheri brings science to life in the most beautiful way—through vibrant, thriving plants.
In this session, Sheri will share practical, research-based insights on ways to improve your soil for growing stunning roses. She’ll cover how to identify what your soil needs, how to test for nutrient availability, and how to enrich your garden using natural and organic methods—just like she does in her garden.
A dedicated educator, Sheri also teaches soil science in the Urban Horticulture Program at Mesa Community College, helping gardeners of all levels unlock the potential beneath their plants.
Also, our MEVRS’ Kyle Burnis will talk about working in the Garden Safely. A former nurse, Kyle, will talk about ways to protect you against garden pests and pathogens found in our garden soils and on our plants.
Don’t miss this opportunity to deepen your understanding of soil and garden safety. Whether you're a seasoned rose grower or just beginning your journey, you’ll leave inspired and ready to grow your most beautiful garden yet.
