Arizona motorcyclists pay into the Motorcycle Safety Fund for one reason: motorcycle safety.
SB1831/HB4138 moves $198,900 from the Motorcycle Safety Fund to DPS. That money must not be absorbed into general agency spending.
Tell your legislators:
Protect the Motorcycle Safety Fund. Require every dollar to be used only for motorcycle education, awareness, training, crash prevention, and rider safety under A.R.S. § 28-2010.
No diversions.
No vague budget language.
No using rider-paid safety dollars for unrelated spending.
Contact your state senator and representatives today and ask them to add a budget footnote to SB1831 protecting the Motorcycle Safety Fund.

“Please protect the Motorcycle Safety Fund in SB1831. The $198,900 going to DPS must be restricted to motorcycle safety purposes only. Arizona riders paid into this fund for safety, not general operations.”
