Support your love of Arizona wildlife with a conservation plate.

The plate is only $25 of which $17 for each plate is directed to the L. Gary Stinson Grant fund managed by Arizona Sportsmen For Wildlife Conservation. This fund awards grants for habitat, education, and youth retention. In 2025, 27 grants totaling $266,856 were awarded thanks to those sporting the plate.

Get one for your vehicle and/or camper today and show your support for wildlife conservation in Arizona!

Reminder to leave baby wildlife alone.

It's getting close to that time of year. If you see baby wildlife alone as you see in this photo, leave them alone. Rest-assured, mom isn't too far away. It's much safer for little ones to be left in hiding and mom will stop by a couple times a day for nursing and cleaning the babies.

One of our long-time members was out doing surveys in 2024 and stumbled across this baby pronghorn curled up with ears lying flat. Mom was observed watching from a safe distance and the fawn, just... fawned...

Resharing a video from a prior fence modification project we did in Unit 18A at Crozier Ranch near Seligman, AZ. For those who'd like an idea of what it's like to put in a day's work modifying a fence to pronghorn-friendly standards, we've created this short video highlighting the work accomplished at Crozier Ranch.

This represents your membership and raffle funds dollars at work!

For our followers in Arizona (and even outside of Arizona), we would like to invite you to visit our website and head over to our Volunteer page, under Habitat projects. Our 2026 project calendar is available

On Saturday, April 18, volunteers removed one mile of 5-strand barbed wire fencing in Unit 18A, approximately 20 miles southwest of Seligman, Arizona. This is part of a large scale landscape project that has been taking place for several years.
The fenceline borders State Trust Land and private land. The rancher had already constructed wildlife friendly fencing parallel to the old 5-strand barbed wire fence and we were tasked to remove the old fencing. This is in prime pronghorn habitat and will allow pronghorn easy access across the landscape.
We appreciate the partnership with for identifying key fencelines to remove and the rancher for having this top-notch fence installed!

Have you also ever spotted pronghorn amongst the ponderosas? 😁

(89/250) The pronghorn is North America's fastest land mammal, capable of reaching speeds up to 55 mph! Native to the open plains, deserts and shrublands of the western U.S., pronghorns form small winter herds, grazing on vegetation.

Another chance to "get drawn" for a pronghorn tag in Arizona!

We've all applied for the 2026 pronghorn draw already and waiting for the draw to take place.

BUT have you heard of the Arizona Special Big Game Tags? This is where you can win a chance for a really awesome pronghorn tag where funds raised go directly to conservation work for Arizona's pronghorn.

How does this work? It is an online raffle where each ticket is only $10 and the winner has 365 days to hunt pronghorn in Arizona. Please check the Conservation First website for details and rules regarding online raffle sales to ensure you are eligible.

Tags for other AZ big game species are also available for $10 a ticket. Funds raised from the raffle sales go directly for conservation work for that species within Arizona.

Win for you... win for Arizona's pronghorn!
