On behalf of AYSO United, we want to congratulate the Northern Arizona 2009 girls for capping off a State Cup run with a fantastic 3-1 win. These young ladies are now planning to make a deep run in the National tournament held in July in Tennessee. We are super proud of the coaches and the players, and we will be following them on their journey.

AYSO United is also excited to announce that both Coach Blair and his 2009 girls and Coach Hollar and his 2010 girls have advanced to the State Cup Finals, which will be played today at Reach 11. Coach Blair’s girls won their match in a penalty shootout to advance, and Coach Hollar’s girls shut out the competition with a 3-0 victory. Keep it up ladies.

Congratulations to the AZ North 2013 Girls team for their fantastic season, which ended as Finalists for the President’s Cup, Silver Division. The girls battled hard, but lost the match in penalties. It was a great run and finish for these special young ladies.

AYSO United is excited to announce that the five teams listed above are still in the hunt for both the State Cup and the President’s Cup Championships.

Leading off the semifinal matches are Coach Michael Blair and his 2009 girls. Coach Blair’s team plays tonight at Reach 11 on field 16. These girls have put in a lot of work to get back to this position, competing in APL, DCL, and NLP2. We wish them the very best.

The challenge also continues for Coach Michael Hollar and his 2010 girls. These talented young women have had an amazing season, competing in the DCL, finishing first in NLP2, and in the APL. Coach Hollar has the girls ready to compete tomorrow afternoon at Reach 11 on field 14.

In the hunt for the President’s Cup are Coach Buchanan and the U19 girls. These young women have been together for some time and have had a strong season in State League 1 and NPL2. With a win, they will advance to the Regional Tournament. They play this Sunday at Reach 11 on field 2.

Still seeking a Cup Championship are the 2013 Girls from Northern AZ, who competed in the Open League Division I and are one match away from bringing home the top prize in the President’s Cup Silver Bracket. They will be competing on Sunday at Reach 11 on field 3.

Finally, in their opening season with AYSO United are the 2007 boys from Verde Valley. These young men have worked very hard to reach the Championship Final on Sunday after competing in the State League. We wish you the very best of luck in your match on Sunday at Reach 11 on field 5.
