Arizona’s only MLK parade will kick-off at 11:00 a.m. at the intersection of MLK Way and the Honorary Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street (Center Street), turning east on First Street and end on Hibbert.

2026 Grand Marshal: The Sun Valley Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc.

Our parade includes marching bands, dance troupes, schools, local organizations, community leaders, neighboring towns, elected officials and many, many more.

Welcome back ABC15 News Anchors Christel Bell and Nick Ciletti as our Center Street/parade announcers.

The Valley’s own Power 98.3 will be announcing the parade from 1st Street.

Following the parade we will host our community festival from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at The Plaza at Mesa City Center. Join us for food, vendors, activities for kids, and entertainment.

𝗩𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗕𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗗𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀.

Donations for bedding, diapers, baby wipes, toilet paper and toiletries are being accepted by the Tempe Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

The 2nd Annual East Valley MLK Awards will be presented at 1:00PM. Congratulations to this year’s honorees.

DJ B.Mac is back by popular demand. Enjoy interactive music, triva, raffle prizes and line dancing led by iSpark Dancers.

This event is in partnership with the City of Mesa.

Our annual Mesa-East Valley MLK Parade & Festival will be held in downtown Mesa on Monday, January 20. Please be aware of the following road closures.

- Center St. from University Dr. to Pepper Pl. will be closed from 8 a.m.-2 p.m.
- First St. from Center St. to Mesa Dr. will be closed from 6 a.m.-2 p.m.
- On-street parking will be prohibited within these areas.

Transit: Bus routes will be impacted within the parade route area. Find more info at https://my.mesaaz.gov/40vbxwJ.
