As of tomorrow, June 5, AOCC has been in operation for 15 years, officially organized on June 5, 2009.

Later, at the next ARRL Board of Directors meeting, we were issued an ARRL Charter of Affiliation on July 30, 2009. If nothing more, that allows us to compete in ARRL sponsored contests.

Through the years, there has been a hard working core of individuals that have been instrumental in keeping AOCC active and recognized in the contest community. For me to name them all would be folly as I know I would forget someone. Y'all know who you are, so a hearty TNX!

Happy Birthday to AOCC!

The most active of the 160M contests is this coming weekend. CQWW 160-Meter CW Contest is from 2200Z, Jan 26 to 2200Z, Jan 28. It is a AOCC Ladder contest worth 700 Ladder points and the score reporter will be Outlaw Chuck KF7U. It is a Club Competition event.

Last year, 2,232 logs were received for CQWW160 CW. CQWW 160 CW is where the significant worldwide 160 contest action is. Loads of USA and DX too, if cndx are right.

AOCC has done well in CQWW160 CW. Note the history below, which includes both modes of CQWW 160 (CW+SSB), as that is the basis for the Club Competition. Since our first CQWW160 Contest, in 2010, the club has finished in the Top Five Clubs all but 6 times. Our highest club score was 2020.
