Giving University is a wonderful organization that trains young people about non-profits that change lives. Henry Blaylock, a recent grad of GU chose to fund Helen’s Hope Chest with his $1,000 donation. KPMG - you do such good work! Yesterday KPMG not only came and served by sorting donations but they also brought along beautiful new books. Our Book Nook is always full of wonder and imagination because of sweet donors who know the value of all kids having the opportunity to have their very own books. We truly appreciate these very special friends from KPMG and a company who supports their employees with volunteer opportunities.

Sara Yousif is giving foster babies a warm welcome through her “Blankets & Blessings” project. Each thoughtfully prepared gift bag includes a handmade blanket, diapers, wipes, and a heartfelt blessing note for children entering foster care.

Sara completed this senior project as part of the “Basha Gives Back” initiative and will be attending ASU this fall. Thank you, Sara, for your compassion and for making a difference in the lives of foster children.

Alpha Delta Kappa, a teachers organization, gave Helen’s the opportunity to share about the mission of Helen’s Hope Chest at their State conference this year. In addition to collecting shoes, clothing and hygiene items, they gave a gift of $600 to keep our boutique stocked. Teachers may leave the classroom but their hearts never do.
