We used to say something often.
"We canât want sobriety more than a mom does."
And, "We canât work harder than she does, but we can walk alongside her."
There's still truth in that. But our perspective has shifted.
We still canât want it more than she does. That has to come from within.
But weâve learned that sometimes, we do have to work harder.
Sometimes the weight of everything in front of her is just too much to carry.
And in those moments, we donât step back.
We step in.
We carry a little more.
We lift what she canât yet hold.
We help clear the path so she can keep moving forward.
Not forever. Not in a way that takes away her ownership.
But in a way that reminds her she is not alone.
Because when someone has spent so long feeling unsupported, unseen, or judged, having someone step in and say, âIâve got you right now,â can change everything.
And hereâs what weâve seen time and time again.
When moms are supported this way, they donât become dependent.
They become stronger.
They rise.
They take ownership.
And they go farther than they ever thought possible.
Sometimes carrying the weight for a moment is exactly what allows her to carry it for a lifetime.
