Meet Lotus and Her “L” Babies — Luke & Lily
Lotus arrived at Desert Paws as a very pregnant stray from Mesa, and just a week later, on March 23, she safely delivered four kittens in foster care. The whole family is social, playful, affectionate, and great with children. None have been around dogs yet. These kittens are still in the nipping/learning‑manners stage, they will do best adopted with another kitten or into a home with a young, tolerant resident catto help them socialize and burn energy.
😺Luke is pure kitten energy and always ready to explore. His favorite “toy” is the free cat condo that used to be a Chewy box, and he gets endless entertainment out of it. He’s the most likely to fall asleep in your warm lap, especially if there’s a sunbeam nearby. Luke loves having the inside of his ears gently stroked and proudly sports an irresistible polka‑dot tummy — though he’ll only tolerate belly rubs for so long before turning it into playtime.
😺Lily is adventurous, independent, and full of joy. Give her a big room and she’ll sprint across it with pure glee. She may be small, but she can absolutely hold her own wrestling her brothers. While she sometimes naps alone, she’s just as often found in a kitten pile with her siblings. Lily lights up when someone comes in for playtime or pets and loves showing off her adorable polka‑dot tummy.
😺Lotus came to Desert Paws labeled “feral,” but quickly proved she was anything but — she’s confident, friendly, and deeply affectionate. She’s still a young girl herself and is rediscovering how to play. Lotus loves soft brushing, full‑body snuggles, and will hug your neck to nuzzle you. She doesn’t love being picked up but enjoys staying close. She’s a talented jumper (5 feet with ease), rearranges her surroundings to her liking, and may call out if she can’t find you. Wand toys with bells and stuffed toys are her favorites. Lotus would be a wonderful addition to an existing cat family or could be happy as an only cat if she has company most of the time. Churu is her love language.
