Harris Park HOA Residents. With the recent AZ811 markers in the streets and yards, we are close to the start of the fiber installation in the community. Please understand there will be delays and disruptions--all part of human natures including family problems, illness injuries, etc, supply chain challenges (aquiring Materials , equipment, manpower, etc., city approvals /inspections and more.

Please be patient with the construction that may be starting as early as the second week in December (2025) or the following weeks. When we make it to the other side of this, we will have new serivces available to us that will improve property values and even inprove quality of life!

FYI... The Harris Park HOA board agreed to defer a monthly fee increase until 2027. We do need to save more funds to replace the roads in the next 6 to 12 years...but with two years of increases, the consensus is to wait a year for another increase!

New coyote sightings in Harris Park. As we have mentioned in the past, we live in the desert where this is the coyote’s habitat. Coyotes can jump our fences, slither through the rails and crawl under the gates. They eat rodents (that eat our fruit that falls from our trees...) They also eat pigeons that defecate on our sidewalks and homes. There is nothing we can do, except be vigilant and mindful for our family and pets--and keep food sources that feed rodents, coyotes, (snakes, nuisance birds, etc.,) clear from our yards!

Community meeting with of about 100 neighbors and the local police detectives assigned to our expanded neighborhood to address the recent surge in assaults, home invasions and theft.

The police are encouraging best practices:
-Keep doors lock.
-Do NOT open doors for solicitors
-Connect OUTDOOR motion lights to a light in your bedroom
-Have lights on when not at home
-Cameras (careful here…HOA CCRs do not allow cameras, but this is not being enforced as long as your camera does not “see” neighbors’ back yard or other private areas)
-Lock cars (your car often has your address and a garage door opener
-Keep car empty when parked
-Do not post pictures of your home on-line (showing value to be targeted)
-Install alarms on doors and access points (but there are city rules and costs/registration)
-Lock dog doors at nights and when away from home
-Lock gates to back yard
-Communication with neighbors. Social media/neighbor posts, getting to know each other in person, help watch for each other…and consider a neighborhood watch
-Report crimes. This increases police awareness. (Reported crimes are down drastically in the last three years, but it appears that most people are not reporting incidents. Reporting increases police awareness!.
-In event of threat to yourself or family, get to safety (even evacuate home)
-Call police about suspicious activity, strangers, etc.

We have all noticed the installation of new internet conductors in the community outside of Harris Park. So far there has been LITTLE interest expressed by residents of the Harris Park HOA. The HOA has to approve/permit the Gigablast and other providers access to the HOA. Any resident interested in this service to their home should reach out to Ed at Legacy property management to express interest!!!
