Message from the T10 high Adventure Crew:

:Day 5, Friday 6/12/26: Mr. Toad's Wild Ride.
The frigid waters of the Shoshone River were no match for the fearless crew from Troop 10. To start the day, T10 led the morning flag ceremony before breakfast. After grabbing a meal, we got our equipment and headed for the river.
Today additional camp leaders joined in on the fun, bringing a bigger boat for half the crew to pilot. Nothing could stop our persistent paddlers as they navigated the Class 2 & 3 rapids of the Mormon Creen Run, the Gun Barrel Run and the Champaigne Run. The icy water was refreshing in the heat of the day, and all of our intrepid paddlers were able to stay in their boats like true river rats. Along the route we saw a huge next occupied by a mother and a couple of baby birds. At journeys end, we grabbed a late lunch and returned to camp to clean up and enjoy the afternoon. The trading post was open, and several crew members picked up snacks and camp swag.
Following dinner, the crew provided kitchen duties to serve the camp. During the evening activities, a team from the crew (Giro, Nelson and William) displayed their superior canoe skills in the Battle of the Tetons. The object of the battle was to pilot your canoe and swamp the other canoe using cut milk jugs. The staff boats were no match for our expert crew. Following our convincing victory, the scouts used the remaining daylight to fish and relax. Is it really Friday night already? Where did the time go? The crew is looking forward to returning home and share their adventures! See you out there!"

Day 4 (6/11/26): Conquering the Frozen Shoshone!
"Today we took on the first day of whitewater by paddling through the "Town" run, a twisting route through Cody. The high walls surrounding the river hid the town, but we got amazing views of the geology. Nesting swallows, a red tail hawk, and mule deer greeted us along the way. All eleven brave rafters took to the icy water and plunged in to train on swimming, signaling, and returning to the boat. This helped prepare us for the swifter, colder water tomorrow. The cold water was a little shocking, but our preparation with polar plunges helped us not get overwhelmed. The crew is ready for some Class 2-3 action tomorrow!"

Troop 10 High Adventure check in from Camp Buffalo Bill:

Just a few photos from camp. Today we went through gear check in preparation for the week. Monday will be bouldering and the rodeo; Tuesday will be top rope climbing; Wednesday will be touring Yellowstone and fishing; Thursday will be whitewater day one and Friday is whitewater day two. The river is running strong so we will get two full days of whitewater! We may be the only group this season to get both days so we are super excited. The staff is treating us like VIPs and we are soaking in the sights. We had a deer strolling through camp, and spotted a bear and some bighorn sheep in Yellowstone and the canyon.
