Vet-Sec Protection Agency starts Parking Patrols tonight in La Fortina! You'll see this a marked vehicle driving through the community.

Many residents have been parking in violation of the Parking Rules. Please make sure everyone that parks in the community is aware of the Parking Rules.

Fire Lane Parking
1. If the parking inspector will call All City Towing for an immediate tow of any vehicle parked in the fire lane. Make sure your guests know what side of the street is considered the fire lane! If a vehicle is towed, it is a minimum of $200 to retrieve it from impound. The owner of the vehicle is responsible to pay for any impound fees.

Street Parking
1. If you have a vehicle parked on the street in violation of the Street Parking Rules, you will receive a violation notice marked "1st Notice", on your vehicle.
2. If the same vehicle (or any other vehicle associated with your lot) is tracked as parked in violation of the Street Parking Rules a 2nd time, you will receive violation notice marked "2nd Notice", on your vehicle.
3. If the same vehicle (or any other vehicle associated with your lot) is tracked as parked in violation of the Street Parking Rules a 3rd time, the parking inspector will place a violation notice marked "TOW" on your vehicle, and will immediately call All City Towing to have your vehicle towed.

Yard Parking
1. The parking inspector is also looking for vehicles parked on the landscaping (unpaved surfaces) on every lot. If you have been parking your vehicle on the landscaping of your lot, you are parking in violation of the Rules & Regulations and will receive a violation fine. These rules are not new. The Parking Rules are included in the Architectural Guidelines and Rules & Regulations adopted in 2019. This document is available on the community website: https://www.gothoa.com/lafortina/

Dear Community Members,

The entry gate off of Crismon is now working. The gate company determined that the gate was either hit by a car (but there is no visible sign of damage) or someone was jumping on the gate when it was moving. I received an email from a community member this morning stating he has seen kids jumping on the gate in the last few weeks. So, there is the answer to why the gate was stuck open.

Please, if you see anyone hanging or jumping on the gate, tell them to get off, and report it to Preferred Communities. If you know who they are, it would be great! That way I can address the issue with the correct household, and charge them for the repairs.

If you have any information on damage to the gate, please report it as soon as possible. If the gate is stuck open after our normal business hours, please call our office and leave an emergency message. 480-649-2017. Emails are not monitored 24/7 but the emergency line is! Please Call!

We will be discussing installing cameras at the gate during the upcoming HOA Meeting on June 17.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Preferred Communities at (480) 649-2017 or by email at [email protected].

Common Area Sprinkler Vandalism

Good afternoon La Fortina,

In the last week we have had quite a bit of vandalism to our sprinklers in the park area, from kids kicking the sprinkler heads off to dog owners letting their dogs chew on the sprinkler heads as they pop up.

This is costing the community money for repairs and new winter grass seed in the areas where the sprinkler heads have been broken off causing flooding.

Should any owner witness the vandalism, please call the Mesa Police Department to report.

Good morning La Fortina Homeowners,

Exterior Painting Policy Reminder. All homes in La Fortina are to be painted by September 1, 2018.

The Board has approved a pre-approved paint color palette thru Sherwin Williams. Most of the original color schemes are included, but there are several new schemes to select from. The link to access the color palette is http://www.sherwin-williams.com/homeowners/color/find-and-explore-colors/hoa/mesa/az/la-fortina

You must submit an architectural request prior to painting your house, even if selecting a pre-approved color scheme. The HOA needs to document the color scheme you are selecting and when the painting will be completed.

The architectural form is available on Preferred Communities website: www.gothoa.com

Should you have any questions, please contact Preferred Communities 480.649.2017.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Ready to paint your home's exterior but worry about your Homeowners Association's color guidelines? Browse our HOA Color Archive to find the approved colors for your home.

It has been reported that two cars were broken into last night in the La Fortina Community.

Just a reminder that garage doors may not remain open for a long period of time. They have to be attended while open or used for ingress and egress.
