💚 Paying it forward at Shade Tree Academy!

Our high school students spent time putting together food boxes for foster families in our community. 📦🍎

At Shade Tree Academy, education is about more than academics. We want our students to discover their strengths, recognize the needs of others, and experience how meaningful it feels to make a difference.

Many of our students understand firsthand what it means to have someone show up for you. Today, they had the opportunity to be that person for someone else. 🌳💚

We’re incredibly proud to watch our students grow as learners, leaders, and compassionate members of their community.

Drop a 💚 in the comments to cheer them on!

🌳 Celebrating Our Amazing Interns! 🌳

We are so grateful for the incredible interns who bring their time, energy, compassion, and talents to Shade Tree Academy. Their work makes a meaningful difference in the lives of our students, and we love being part of their learning journey, too! 💚

Did you know Shade Tree Academy offers internship opportunities? If you’re a college student looking for hands-on experience in education, social work, behavioral health, child development, or a related field, our school provides a unique opportunity to learn while supporting children whose lives have been impacted by foster care.

Interested in interning with us—or know someone who might be a great fit? Send us a message to learn more or share this post with a student who would love this opportunity!

🎀 🌳SAVE THE DATE🌳🎀

Saturday, November 7th, 4:30–7:00 PM — Shade Tree Academy’s Grand Opening Celebration & Ribbon Cutting is almost here, and you’re invited to a good old-fashioned Country County Fair!

This long-awaited dream come true deserves a big celebration: live country music, cowboy fun & games, food, raffles, an auction, and a special program honoring the journey that brought us here.

For years we’ve dreamed of a trauma-informed school where children impacted by foster care feel safe, seen, and loved — a place where bright futures take root. Thanks to our incredible donors — every gift, every prayer, every share — that dream is now a reality, and we are so deeply grateful.

Dust off your boots, bring the whole family, and join us as we cut the ribbon on our new campus! More details to come— mark your calendars, y’all!

📚 We Still Have Openings at Shade Tree Academy!🌳

We still have a couple openings in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade!

If you’re a caregiver, kinship family, or foster or adoptive parent looking for a school that truly understands your child’s needs, we’d love to meet you.

Shade Tree Academy provides a **trauma-informed approach to education** for children impacted by foster care. With small class sizes, individualized academics, supportive relationships, and a focus on social-emotional growth, we create an environment where children can feel safe, understood, and successful.

Sometimes a different school environment can make all the difference. 💚

Come discover a place where your child can 🍃learn, heal, belong, and thrive.🍃

🦖 Dinosaurs came to Shade Tree Academy! 🦕

Our students are learning all about dinosaurs this week—exploring fossils, prehistoric creatures, and what the Earth was like millions of years ago!

A huge THANK YOU to the Arizona Museum of Natural History for visiting our campus and bringing this lesson to life. Experiences like these give our students the opportunity to see, touch, ask questions, and connect classroom learning with the world around them.

We love seeing their curiosity grow—and there were definitely some future paleontologists in the room! 🦴🔎💚
