East Valley Sertoma East Valley Sertoma is a philanthropic group of people who raise money for people with hearing loss in the Phoenix area, State of Arizona.

Sertoma International is a 501 (c ) non-profit civic organization. The organization was formed in April 1912. The original name was The Co-operative Club. In the 40s it was renamed Sertoma. was coined from the phrase “SERvice TO MAnkind. It is one of the 3rd oldest service organizations. Clubs are located internationally as well.

Visual Smoke Alarms - Fire Prevention Program & Devices for Deaf & Hard of Hearing in Mesa Arizona

The city of Mesa has purchased visual fire alerts as part of their Home Safety Inspection Program (HIS). The Home Safety Inspection (HSI) Program is a free Mesa Fire Department program available to all City of Mesa residents. The HSI Program will send a trained fire department volunteer to your home to help you identify possible hazards within the home. If you have additional questions about their program, please call Warren Sprecher with Mesa Fire Department at (480) 644-2508.

Peggy Briggs, LPGA will be speaking tomorrow regarding golfing and balance.

Peggy is a Class A member of the LPGA Teaching and Club Professional Division with 10 years experience teaching golf to excited students.

Peggy was a casual golfer during my 20’s, but after a move to Arizona in the 1990’s, golf moved up
in priority. Peggy took lessons and made it a priority to become a member of the LPGA. She has
experienced competitive golf on the Player’s West Mini Tour and has worked at several
golf facilities learning all aspects of the golf business. She taught 5 years with the John Jacobs
Golf Schools in Arizona.

Peggy continues to grow her knowledge base by attending educational seminars, teaching workshops,
reading and observing other instructors. Peggy has broadened her base by adding golf fitness. She is Certified with Titleist Performance Institute and K-Vest. K-Vest is a 3D motion capture system that helps diagnose and train golfer movement patterns.
