It’s hard to make progress (or want to) when the only experiences you’ve had with reading left you feeling ashamed or embarrassed. So that’s where we start. We flip the script first, fostering positive relationships with reading through genuine, human-centered connection and fun. Because important work doesn’t have to be serious or boring. We’re putting the joy back into reading. 📖🥰

Last month, we celebrated our volunteers alongside all of Azura's initiatives. In the past year, 96 Azura Literacy volunteers contributed 3,576 hours (over $124K in monetary value) to tutoring and mentorship for over 200 kids! 🤩

Azura Literacy just completed another successful semester, and our tutors created lasting positive impacts on over 100 students, building confidence and proficiency at the same time.
