It has been a couple of years since I last posted or promoted A BETTR Way. During that time, we experienced the loss of a key team member, and my family faced significant needs that required my full attention. Now that things have returned to a healthier and more stable place, I’m able to refocus my efforts on re-establishing A BETTR Way and its mission.

This year, we are starting small with a meaningful goal: to support one single-parent family for Christmas. With your generosity, we can make this possible.

We got our first donation! I’m so excited to say someone donated about 30 backpacks for the kids. What a blessing! If you know a single parent family here in AZ please have them reach out if they are in need of backpacks. They can text or call 480-408-0929.

It's that time of year when it's stressful for many single parents who need to purchase school supplies for their kiddos returning to school. Please visit www.abettrway.org to donate for school supplies, school shoes, or school clothes for children of single parents. Please note our bi-laws specifically state that board members cannot benefit from donations so you don't need to worry about your donations being misused.

I started this company because as a single mom I know how challenging things can be sometimes. I want to help other single parents feel the love, the support and the overwhelming gratitude for everyone in my life that just made my holidays so very special and amazing. I kid you not there were gifts, notes, text messages and invites just pouring in everyday this past week. It started the week prior and just continued until I just had to laugh and say Ok, I get it! I am loved. That is what I want to share with other single parents. Giving this feeling to other parents, that is my goal.

As a single parent life sometimes gets hard. It’s challenging to manage it all on your own. The struggle of finding affordable quality childcare, what to do with kids after school, needing to move but not having deposit money, school clothes and supplies every school year; it’s all so overwhelming. So we have created an agency that can help single parents ease the burden a little. We are currently in the start up phase and donations will be used to secure things like a database to track donations, and quicken to track income and expenses. We need web development, and once we are up and running we will need donations to help our families. Eventually we would like to add college scholarships for these kiddos of single parents. So many good things we want to do to help single parents who are struggling financially.

A BETTR Way is in the process of obtaining the 501 c 3 status. We will continue to build our business and as we do we will keep you informed. We are excited for the opportunity to help single parent families in our community.
