16DEC23 - National Wreaths Across America Day!
Despite the incoming subtropical storm, we showed up for those who have fallen to pay our respects. Especially to a former Courageous Division cadet who is laid to rest there. Such an honor to be apart of such an amazing day.

01-03DEC23 was our end of the year FTX weekend. And boy was it a blast!!
Friday afternoon cadets checked in and set up their tent for the weekend. Followed by a safety briefing and campground standing orders. Saturday was a super busy day. We started our day with colors, PT, breakfast chow then am drill was with Brevard EMT for wilderness survival training. We went into the woods and learned about what to look for to survive and what to use incase of medical situation. PM drill the Brevard County Deputies came and did some room clearing, hostage situation and active shooter training. The cadets had a blast! After dinner chow, our LPO did a night Ops training with both our League and Sea Cadets. When the Sea Cadets our on their way back to camp, the League Cadets did a sneak attach. They had so much fun! We finished our night with some Campfire Smore Cones. Sunday was campsite clean up and free play. It was a hit with our cadets. They can't wait to do it again!

The Sea Cadet Mission

The Sea Cadet Mission

The U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps is a nationwide organization dedicated to helping American youth realize personal success and achievement through a nautically oriented training program. Through Sea Cadet leadership, young Americans ages 10 through 17 develop interest and skill in basic seamanship and its naval adaptations, while learning the valve of patriotism, courage, self-reliance, teamwork, and accountability.

Goals

The cadets study a broad range of subjects. Some are designed to help them to become better adult citizens; others teach them the importance of strong maritime forces. They also study naval history, customs and traditions, seamanship, navigation, and similar subjects which would help their chances for promotion should they decide to join one of the sea services.
