It’s disappointing to see elected representatives choose subsidizing insurance companies over kids’ mental health care.

Anthem and other carriers must be held accountable for denying families coverage for these critical services.

I’m not giving up on this, and I’ll continue working to ensure our children — and their families — get the care and support they need.

Children in a mental health crisis deserve care — not insurance denials. Thank you to Kelly Ayotte for pushing to hold insurers accountable and protect critical mental health coverage for kids.

Families and providers should not have to fight carriers while children wait for treatment. SB 498 is an important step toward ensuring vulnerable children get the care they need when they need it most.
