Dear Community Members,
New Hampshire Nepali Community (NHNC) belongs to all of us. NHNC is an umbrella organization representing and serving all Nepali-speaking communities in New Hampshire. It is not just an organization for events and celebrations; it is a community platform that supports Nepali-speaking families, individuals, students, seniors, and newcomers across our state.
Over the years, NHNC has helped community members in many different situations, including immigration-related matters, legal and criminal case referrals, interpreter support, family and emergency needs, community connections, cultural programs, youth engagement, and other day-to-day challenges faced by our community members. Our support has ranged from providing reference letters for volunteers and students applying for scholarships to helping families communicate, coordinate, and negotiate with funeral homes during difficult times.
However, we also want to honestly acknowledge that we have observed very low community participation in NHNC-organized events, most recently the NHNC New Year Party. This is a concern for all of us. When participation is low, it affects not only events, but also the overall strength, visibility, and future of our organization. NHNC can only grow and serve effectively when community members actively support it.
This work is possible only when community members come forward, support the organization, and get involved. NHNC needs your ideas, your time, your skills, your leadership, and your participation. Whether you can volunteer at events, help with outreach, support families in need, guide youth, contribute professionally, or simply become an active member, your involvement matters.
We respectfully encourage everyone to support NHNC, become members, participate in meetings, volunteer in programs, attend community events, and help strengthen this shared community institution. A stronger NHNC means a stronger, more united Nepali-speaking community in New Hampshire.
Let us work together with unity, respect, and service for the benefit of our community.
Sincerely,
NHNC Leadership Team
