Official Statement from the New Hampshire Nepali Community (NHNC)
The New Hampshire Nepali Community (NHNC) takes domestic violence, abuse, intimidation, and the safety and well-being of our community members extremely seriously.
We are aware of a domestic violence matter currently proceeding through the New Hampshire judicial system. Because this is an active legal case, NHNC will not discuss the allegations, evidence, individuals involved, or ongoing court proceedings on social media. Those matters should be addressed through the appropriate legal process, and the courts must be allowed to determine the facts and legal outcome.
At the same time, our silence on social media should never be mistaken for silence in action.
Several NHNC representatives attended the initial court hearing in person to show community support and solidarity. Following the hearing, NHNC representatives and other community members also made an official visit to the victim at her home to offer support, listen to her concerns, and better understand what assistance and resources may be needed.
NHNC does not believe that every action taken to support a community member needs to be publicized for attention, clicks, or public consumption. Some of the most meaningful support takes place quietly, respectfully, and behind the scenes. Our priority is to provide genuine assistance while respecting privacy, dignity, personal wishes, and the integrity of the judicial process.
NHNC stands firmly against domestic violence in all forms. No one experiencing abuse should feel that they must remain silent, isolated, or navigate the system alone.
NHNC is committed to doing everything reasonably within our capacity and available resources to support victims of domestic violence, help them access appropriate protections and professional services, and assist them in navigating the path toward safety and justice. We will stand with victims and their families while respecting due process and allowing the judicial system to carry out its responsibilities.

NHNC is willing to help community members connect with appropriate law-enforcement authorities, victim advocates, domestic-violence service organizations, legal resources, and other professional support services.
No victim should have to face domestic violence alone. NHNC will do everything reasonably within our capacity and resources to ensure that those who come forward are heard, supported, connected with appropriate assistance, and given every opportunity to pursue safety and justice through the proper legal process.
Seeking help should never be a source of shame. The safety, dignity, and well-being of victims and their families must remain a priority.
