Hey there Merrimac Families and friends of the Mavericks!

A bittersweet finish for our hometown boys but man, did they fight to the end!!! Finishing in the top 16 out of 60 teams is a huge accomplishment and an experience they will carry with them for a lifetime!!

To the players....hold your heads high....what you boys did this week was nothing short of inspiring. You cheered each other on and picked each other up. You showed up each day looking sharp and ready to play. Win together....lose together....teammates....and friends for life.

To the coaches....what a run....and not just in Cooperstown. You have mentored, guided, encouraged and taught these boys so much over the past few years....the skills they've learned, both on and off the field, are invaluable. We hope you realize the impact you've had. Oh....and the week you've just spent in a tiny bunkhouse with 11 rambunctious boys entitles you to some kind of major reward 🤪

To the parents and families of the Mavericks...those who were able to make the trip and those who cheered them on from home....these victories are also yours...these 11 boys made it this far in baseball, and in life, because of you. You've been there every step of the way, from attending home/away games, tournaments near and far, donning Mavs t-shirts and hats and cheering for every player as if they were your own. We've become a family...and it's been an amazing experience.

And finally...to our wonderful Merrimac community....it's no secret that we wouldn't be here if it wasn't for you. You raised and donated money, left encouraging comments on our posts and cheered the boys on from home. One of the many incredible things these boys will take away from this trip is how much love they felt from our little town. We are eternally grateful. 01860 forever!!!

Take it all in boys....Mavericks for life!!!

These are our boys...waving to the home town crowd....after winning their second game of the day, putting them in the top 16 for tomorrow's championship bid!!!

Joe Cialone pitched an absolute gem and we saw home runs from Brody LeColst and Camden Lewis!! Great plays in the field by Jack Baer, Cruz Jacques and John Coco!!

This team has been so much fun to watch and we know there's more to come!!!

The boys play first thing tomorrow at 9:00 am so tune in if you can!!!

Good luck boys, you've already made your town so proud and have represented it well...get out there, have fun and do what you do!!!!

A great win for the Mavs in Game 1!!

Great pitching by Cruz Jacques and Joe Cialone plus solid hitting all around means the boys go on to play the 13th seed at 7:00 pm!!!

So proud of these boys!!!

Our boys placed #20 out of 60 teams!!!!

We play the #29 Northeast Eagles at 4:30 this afternoon!!!

Hey there Merrimac Families and friends of the Mavericks!!

Day 4 brought another split for the boys today but their bats stayed hot!

Home runs for Cruz Jacques (2), John Coco and Nathan Rollins...more great hitting from Brendon Travis, Jack Baer and Cam Lewis!

They head into playoffs tomorrow with a 3-2 record!!

Still waiting on word about tomorrow's game but we'll keep you posted!!!

Hey there Merrimac Families and friends of the Mavericks!!!

The boys got the split today...a great come from behind win this morning and a tough loss this afternoon....but these boys are still having a blast and playing great baseball!!

It was a perfect weather day, which made everyone happy!!

The boys got a much needed reprieve from the hustle and bustle of Cooperstown Dreams Park and got to explore the Baseball Hall of Fame followed by a lovely dinner by the lake downtown!!!

The next game is at 9:00 am tomorrow morning!!!

Hey there Merrimac Families and friends of the Mavericks!!

A well deserved pizza party after an amazing comeback victory over a tough NY team!!

Highlights include great pitching by Alex DiTucci, a clutch pick off at first by John Coco, great hits by Brendon Travis, Joe Cialone, Brody LeColst, Jack Baer and a center field home run for Brendan Prescott!!!

These boys didn't let a 5-0 deficit in the first inning get them down...they fought hard to the end and never gave up!!!

Final score 14-8

Next game is at 2:00!!

Good morning Merrimac Families and friends of the Mavericks!!!!

The boys took Game 1 against the Tenafly Tigers from NJ!!

Solid pitching by Joe Cialone and Cruz Jacques, coupled with some great hits (Cruz with a home run and John Coco with a long single off the left field wall) and impressive plays in the field (Cam Lewis with a huge double play and Michael Beaulieu with a great catch in right field) led the Mavs to a 7-1 victory in their first match up!!

Next game is this morning at 9:00 am!!

The first night of team laundry was a success 😆 so let's hope that means the start of another epic day here at Cooperstown Dreams Park!!!

Hey there Merrimac Families and friends of the Mavericks!!!

Today was Opening Ceremonies and the Skills Competition!! Our boys look great in their Cooperstown uniforms and are ready to get the week started!!

This morning's presentation was moving, exciting and nostalgic! Even some of the moms and dads got out on the field to sing, dance and cheer!!!

For the skills competition, we had 3 boys compete in individual events while the rest of the boys participated in the Around the Horn competition!!

Congrats to Joe Cialone (home run competition), Nathan Rollins (Golden Arm) and Michael Beaulieu (Road Runner)....our team did great and we're so proud of them!!!

The boys play tonight at 8:00 so if you have the Cooperstown Dreams Park app, you can check it out!!!

They play again tomorrow morning at 9:00 so be sure to tune in!!!

We're here! We made it!!! The boys are getting settled in their bunks, trying on uniforms and trading pins!!!

This place is amazing and the boys are having a blast already!!

The boys are all packed up and ready to head out to Cooperstown!!!!

Stay tuned for all the updates as the boys take on teams from NY and NJ!!! The boys have games on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday so.... we'll keep you all posted on all of it!!!

Good luck boys....this is the opportunity of a lifetime so enjoy every minute!!
