LGBTQ Suicide Prevention Initiative The LGBTQ Su***de Prevention Initiative is a collaborate effort among groups and individuals throughout Northwest Indiana to prevent su***de.

The initiative is working to 1) reduce stigma, 2) increase access to 24/7 crisis services, 3) workforce development, and 4) su***de screening and follow-up care. The LGBTQ Su***de Prevention Initiative offers the following opportunities:
-Transgender Awareness Trainings
-LGBTQ Cultural Competency Trainings
-Mental Health First Aid Trainings
-Applied Su***de Intervention Skills Training (ASIST)
-Co

ping and Support Strategies Training (CAST)
-NWI LGBTQ Community Conversation Conference

Together, we will explore ways to raise awareness, promote mental health, and support one another.
