⭐ Foreman Spotlight: Darrel VanCleef ⭐

With nearly a decade at Korellis and more than 30 years in the masonry trade, Darrel VanCleef brings experience, consistency, and craftsmanship to every project he leads. Since joining in 2016, Darrel has worked on a wide range of complex and high profile jobs, including the Lake County Paramore Building, US Gypsum, Community Hospital, the University of Illinois at Chicago, and historic restoration work at Graceland Cemetery.

Darrel is respected for his calm leadership, attention to detail, and ability to see projects through with precision and care. He takes pride in maintaining high standards on his job sites and is always willing to share his knowledge with apprentices and crew members alike. His commitment to quality work and team development continues to make a lasting impact at Korellis.

Bricklayers Local 4 IN/KY would like to express their deep disappointment regarding the new Starbucks located at 6051 Central Ave. in Portage, Indiana.

Shame on Core Acquisitions of Chicago, the owners of this establishment, for failing to uphold fair and equitable hiring practices in the selection of contractors.

Shame on RSD Construction of Elgin, Illinois, the general contractor, for neglecting to use a fair contractor.

Shame on Straight Line Masonry, the masonry contractor, for their role in this failure to support fair labor practices and responsible contracting.

We call on all parties involved to reflect on their responsibilities to the communities they serve and to take meaningful steps toward transparency, fairness, and accountability in future projects.

If any Bricklayers are off I have an 84" outage at US Steel, Gary Works, 7-10's, orientation on Monday and the outage will start Tuesday, the first furnace should wrap up on October 30 with a few days off and then 10 days on the second furnace. There is NO PERDIUM for this outage!!! You will have to take a drug test and get enrolled into BCRC, if you are not already. Pay is $44.62 for days and $46.62 for nights.
